The Loss Prevention Coordinator is a key high-level position in the Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs).
This position will be based at our Melbourne Fulfilment Centre (FC) in Dandenong South.
Loss Prevention Coordinators operate on the front lines to efficiently and effectively provide security as a service to protect people, operations, brand, data and assets.
The LP Coordinator reports to the Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) Manager responsible for their facility, aiding them in supporting the FC Operations team and other cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Oversee daily workflow, schedules, assignments of security staff
2. Assist managing physical security of site through guarding service, monitor optimum functioning of physical security devices & controls
3. Inspire performance excellence on the part of security service team members
4. Conduct regular walk-throughs, security inspections for assigned facilities
5. Implement and ensure adherence to stringent audit scheduling, with findings documented communicated
6. Ensure 100% Training of all security guards
7. Perform initial risk assessments of site operations, propose mitigation measures
8. Respond, assist in emergency response, workplace incidents
9. Perform trend analysis, data mining using various in-house tools to detect patterns indicating theft, fraud or abuse
10. Identify preliminary investigations or policy violations, recognize root cause, construct findings report, assist in developing management action plan for process formulation / compliance / improvement
11. Drive corrective, preventive process changes that impact shrink reduction matrix
12. Evaluate SLP process performance, internal policies and recommend mitigation / optimization areas
13. Effectively assist in managing security services vendor for SLA adherence and conduct training for guarding force on SLP processes
14. Train staff on SLP related topics for increased awareness and site compliance
15. Build effective working relationships within team & key stakeholders
Minimum Requirements:
1. 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
2. Work a flexible schedule / shift / work area, including weekends, nights, and / or holidays
3. Experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control
4. Experience with warehouse or distribution center services
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Advanced level of computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office package
7. Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English
8. Demonstrated ability to deal with business tools & understand business metrics
9. Experience working within investigative function / security services
10. Experience working with local law enforcement
11. Experience with security systems such as Bosch, Milestone, Lenel
