An opportunity has arisen to be part of the Hull Street Outreach Service (HSOS), engaging with people who are experiencing rough sleeping.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary partnership, we aim to provide a friendly, safe, and non-judgemental environment by taking a strength-based approach.
Our team will always be ready to listen, offer support, and advice where possible.
This is a Sessional role that will be paid at £16.64 per hour.
Please note: Applicants must be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role.
As a part of the Change Grow Live team, you’ll help people get to where they want to be and make a difference in their lives.
Change, Grow, Live services and staff provide wraparound support to rough sleepers and will work directly with the local authority to support vulnerable people.
You will focus on engaging with people who are currently experiencing rough sleeping. You will have some experience of engaging with individuals with multiple and/or complex unmet needs and demonstrate a determined approach to finding solutions. Some knowledge of one or more of the following would be advantageous:
* Homelessness
* Mental health
* Criminal Justice System
* Substance misuse
No two days are the same, and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious, and a good listener is key.
You will have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time, you will be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference in their lives.
