Assistant Site Manager – 140 Unit Timber Frame & Traditional Housing Development
Our client are one of the most established brands in the country and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Site Manager to assist on the construction of a new 140 unit development in Dorset. This exciting project combines modern timber frame construction for the houses and traditional built low rise apartments, offering a unique and challenging opportunity for a skilled and driven professional.

**About the Role:**
As Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the site, adhering to programme deadlines, health and safety regulations, and the companies high quality standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Assisting in the management of subcontractors and ensuring their compliance with site rules and regulations.
* Assisting in the daily supervision of site operatives, ensuring productivity and adherence to best practices.
* Monitoring the progress of construction work against programme targets and highlighting any potential delays.
* Maintaining accurate records of materials, labour, and plant usage.
* Ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
* Assisting with the implementation and enforcement of health and safety regulations on site, promoting a safe working environment for all.
* Assisting in quality control inspections and ensuring compliance with building regulations.
* Contributing to the overall success of the project through proactive problem-solving and efficient resource management.
* Liaising effectively with the Site Manager, Contracts Manager and other members of the project team.
**About You:**
* Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager or similar role within the residential construction industry.
* A relevant qualification in construction management (e.g., NVQ Level 5/6, HNC/HND) is highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of building regulations, health and safety legislation, and construction best practices.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
* Experience with 100+ unit developments is preferred.
