Disabled Living is a charity which provides impartial information about equipment and services for disabled adults, children, older people, and the professionals who support them. The organisation has transformed its purpose in recent years, primarily focusing on securing new and sustainable income streams from commercial activities without losing sight of our charitable objectives.
At Disabled Living, we operate with a unique approach. Despite being a charity, we do not fundraise - we work to a business model. Our commercial revenue streams stem from the services Disabled Living provides, including Kidz to Adultz Exhibitions, Bladder & Bowel UK, Adapt & Live, Redbank House and Hilight. This offers a rare opportunity for a Junior Marketing Executive to apply their skills in a socially impactful setting, working within an innovative business model.
The role:
1. We seek a creative individual who can directly and significantly contribute to the productivity of all Disabled Living activities, offering a unique opportunity to make a broad impact.
2. As a Junior Marketing Executive at Disabled Living, you will not be confined to a single aspect of marketing. You will deal with a spectrum of work spanning the full marketing mix, from planning and executing campaigns to researching content for our newsletters, creating artwork for our quarterly magazine, and updating our various websites. This diverse range of responsibilities will keep you engaged and challenged, and your input and creativity will be highly valued in our small, dynamic marketing team, providing you with a varied and stimulating work environment.
3. You will join us at an exciting time, as many of the services we represent have recently undergone a complete rebrand, with two remaining services scheduled for a new look in 2025, which you will be a part of. In addition, we have recently rebranded some of Disabled Living’s services and will be involved in all aspects of its promotion.
4. When promoting our services, events, and various innovative commercial explorations, you will play a significant role in multiple projects that will influence the whole organisation. This includes speaking with stakeholders to explore the possibility of new partnerships, sponsorships and advertisers.
5. A brand champion who can identify new opportunities, speak with clients and build relationships.
6. Beyond this, you must be organised, flexible and as passionate as we are.
Primary duties:
1. Source and produce weekly email campaigns, monthly newsletters, blogs and social media posts.
2. Coordinate and contribute to the quarterly KtoA Magazine.
3. Proofread and write press releases and articles to a high standard.
4. Work with all departments to support any print or digital marketing activities.
