Business Development Manager
UK (Remote) must be able to attend monthly meetings in West Yorkshire
£35k - £40k DOE + Bonus (Realistic OTE £50-£65k in first year, however Uncapped earning potential) + Car Allowance and Benefits
Ideal location would be; Devon/Cornwall/Dorset/Somerset/Wiltshire/Cotswolds/Bristol/Cardiff/Wales/Weston-Super-Mare
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this forward-thinking, fast-moving Bed/Mattress Manufacturer.
With a varied portfolio within the Leisure industry, including Holiday Parks, Caravan Manufacturers, the Hotel industry, and Student Accommodation to name a few.
Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years' experience working Business to Business, selling either products or service solutions within lettings, retail, the NHS/Care, or leisure industry and can be located in the South of England with the tenacity and drive to get out and meet contacts face to face developing relationships and becoming the face of this high-quality manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
1. Drive and execute new business sales.
2. Engage with customer prospects, providing complete solutions designed to customer needs.
3. Understand growth, customer acquisition, and build a pipeline to boost top line revenue.
4. Increase turnover and profit, maintain accurate records, and report weekly activity.
5. Maintain competitor and market knowledge.
6. Respond to clients, colleagues, and internal stakeholders efficiently.
7. Present, promote, and negotiate professional business cases within public and private sector clients.
8. Focus on the Leisure, Hospitality, NHS, Student Accommodation, and Care sectors.
9. Reach customers through cold calling, targeted prospecting, and networking.
10. Achieve or exceed all agreed sales objectives.
11. Provide cost-effective solutions and needs analysis of potential customers.
12. Create quality written documents to articulate and support business cases.
13. Maintain positive business and customer relationships.
14. Strategically plan and develop a pipeline of new opportunities.
15. Attend local/regional industry events/exhibitions.
16. Provide intelligence on industry trends and market knowledge.
17. Be responsible for the growth of the Sales Division, increased headcount, and revenue.
18. Identify and negotiate long-term contracts.
19. Understand Bids, Tenders, and PSL opportunities.
20. Attend meetings, including overnight stays.
21. Plan and diarise effectively for the good of the business and efficiencies.
22. Report problems, complaints, and issues directly to the Directors.
