About the role of Mid-Weight Designer:
As a Mid-Weight Designer, youll design creative solutions across print, digital, animation, video, web, and social channels in the horse racing and greyhound racing industry. Based in Doncaster, youll design for all 16 ARC racecourses and 5 greyhound stadia across the UK, ensuring brand consistency and aligning with racecourse and sponsor branding.
Youll translate marketing campaigns into compelling design solutions, bringing creative ideas to life through animation and contributing to a growth strategy. With your expertise in design and motion graphics, you'll produce engaging content for both digital and print while analysing KPIs to drive sales and brand success.
As the brand custodian, youll ensure consistency across all platforms, helping to elevate the brand and increase engagement in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
Responsibilities
* Develop creative designs for Raceday promotions, events, and music acts across print and all digital channels.
* Create compelling animations and video content for digital platforms using After Effects/Premiere Pro.
* Design print materials (e.g., banners, brochures) and ensure production-ready artwork.
* Use project management software such as Trello and Clockify to efficiently manage project workflows, ensuring the timely delivery of designs while maintaining clear and effective communication with the marketing team.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to meet brief objectives, delivering impactful designs that drive performance.
* Uphold brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all materials and platforms.
* Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improvement.
* Act as a brand guardian, ensuring alignment with brand values and identity across all creative outputs.
The person we are looking for as a Mid-Weight Designer has..
* At least 2+ years experience as a graphic/motion designer in a similar role (agency or production environment).
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Canva [desirable], and MS Office.
* Experience in shooting and editing video [desirable].
* Educated to A-level or degree level (design-specific qualification preferred) with experience in a fast-paced design studio.
* Proven ability to develop effective design concepts and visuals that achieve positive commercial outcomes.
* Strong attention to detail, creative flair, and originality.
* Ability to critically evaluate briefs and create compelling creative solutions.
* Skilled in managing workflows, meeting deadlines, and balancing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Confident in presenting and explaining ideas to colleagues and stakeholders.
* Awareness of market trends and the competitive landscape in which the organisation operates.
* Excellent team-working skills with a collaborative mindset.
