About the Physics Department: The Physics department is a collaborative and supportive team with a shared passion for igniting a love of Physics in our students. We foster a culture of inquiry and encourage students to develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiments and investigations. We have a strong track record of success in Physics examinations, and our students regularly participate in Physics competitions and events. About the Role: Teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A Level Physics depending on experience and interest. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities. Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including demonstrations, experiments, and ICT, to bring Physics to life for students. Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Physics curriculum remains relevant and challenging. Foster a love of Physics in students, encouraging them to explore the wonders of the universe and develop their scientific understanding. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Physics education. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or equivalent. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Physics. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Physics and a commitment to student success. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills. Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Physics. Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
