We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Operations Coordinator (Development Role) to join our team based at Huntworth Mill.
Reporting to the Group Transport Manager, you will assist in the efficient coordination of product transportation, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements. This role involves supporting the Transport Managers and named CPC holders in various transport-related tasks.
Development Opportunity:
This is a developmental role intended for someone who is eager to progress within the transport and logistics function. You’ll gain hands-on experience across various aspects of the transport operation, with structured support and mentoring provided to help you grow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the efficient allocation and use of tipper trucks for raw material haulage.
* Assist in route planning and vehicle scheduling to enhance operational productivity.
* Provide cover for transport planners during holidays or absences, ensuring continuity of service.
* Collaborate with Transport Managers to uphold compliance standards, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance schedules, and legal obligations.
* Ensure all haulage operations meet safety, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
* Take ownership of ad hoc transport-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
Key Requirements:
* Transport Manager CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is required.
* A solid understanding of transport compliance, fleet operations, and legal regulations.
* Strong planning, organisational, and multitasking skills.
* Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Previous experience in transport or logistics coordination is preferred.
* A willingness to learn, adapt, and develop professionally within the role.
* Previous experience with Paragon a benefit
* Knowledge of on farm deliveries alongside HGV driving experience
