Morgan Hunt is delighted to be supporting an established organisation for a skilled and experienced Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in contract management, particularly within the refurbishment and maintenance sectors. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a variety of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, including:
* PFI Schools: in Glasgow, refurbishment, and maintenance work (totaling £1.5m)
* Local Authority: minor works contract involving refurb and fit-out work for nursing homes, schools, housing, and community centres
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
* Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
* Develop comprehensive project plans to monitor and track progress
* Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
* Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
* Report and escalate to management as needed
* Perform risk management to minimize project risks
* Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven working experience in project management, particularly within refurbishment and maintenance projects
* Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in construction and fit-out projects
* Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
