The role of the Neighbourhood Community Services Development Manager is critical in delivering integrated services across Somerset and providing improved relationships within both Neighbourhood Teams and Primary Care Networks.
The post holder will manage one of four areas across the county as well as be a service lead within one of the twelve neighbourhood teams across Somerset.
You will be accountable to the Deputy Service group Director of the Neighbourhoods and Community Service group and will work closely with colleagues across the Trust as well as other partner organisations, with a focus on the delivery of integrated care and responding to the specific needs of people within the neighbourhoods.
The post holder will manage and be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of services which will include a range of community services. These are likely to include mental health, physical health and community therapy teams. The duties throughout this Job Description relate to the portfolio of services unless otherwise stated.
Main duties of the job
1. Develop strong relationships across the Neighbourhoods Primary Care Networks.
2. Exercise open and honest communication with all staff groups.

5. Lead meetings in order to achieve their objectives.

7. Responsible as line manager for portfolio of services.

9. Deal with capability, disciplinary and performance matters.
10. Ensure the recruitment and retention of staff with the required competences to meet local service requirements.
11. Be responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of services and deliver quality and performance.
12. Undertake senior level investigations and project work.
13. Analyse highly complex data and information.
14. Ensure an integrated approach to governance.
15. Respond to complaints.
16. Provide information, instruction, training and supervision.
17. Effectively plan, communicate and implement strategic, service and organisational changes.
18. Participate in the operational on call rota.
19. Be accountable for service budgets identifying annual cost improvement targets.
20. Monitor relevant service level agreements.
