JOB PURPOSE:
The successful candidate will understand the daily performance requirements specific to complex gluing to deliver operational expectations in line with the company’s business targets. You will have the drive to improve overall performance in the Finishing department where possible and understand where excellence ‘is’ and implement the processes to get there, consistently improving Finishing team performance. In addition to inspecting the quality of the products printed, ensuring they are to the customer’s specification and deliver On Time in Full (OTIF).
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. To be responsible for the administration of all enquiries including estimating, sales orders, confirmations, forecasting including material demand, works instructions, customer support, call-offs, and other contract information, relating to existing, new, and prospective customers.
2. Skillful planning will be required to maintain customer service and to achieve the key business objective of minimizing raw material and finished goods stockholding whilst maintaining continuity of supply.
3. To be proactive in dealing with internal and external customers.
4. To report monthly on key metrics.
5. To understand pricing strategies and to contribute and maximize profitability.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
1. Competent in building strong working relationships and understanding with customers and colleagues.
2. Ability to seek opportunities for improvement in all areas of work.
3. Ability to use PECAS and Microsoft office systems.
4. An understanding of packaging specifications including board specifications.
5. An appreciation of the printing process.
6. Excellent customer service skills.
7. Excellent organisation and administrative skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise to meet deadlines.
