The Role
They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing Peterborough-based commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for proactive and motivated individuals capable of generating and developing relationships with business owners across the Midlands.
The successful candidate will report directly to their Sales Director, benefiting from one-on-one training and mentoring. This role offers independence, autonomy, and the chance for professional and personal development with clear career progression.

Key Responsibilities
* Build on their existing network of reciprocal relationships with local B2B-focused Business Development Managers.
* Proactively source new business opportunities across the Midlands.
* Convert leads from their CRM system while also striving to self-generate new opportunities.
* Identify and pursue opportunities through prospecting, networking, and partnership development.
* Deliver excellent customer service, building rapport with clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
* Manage your own time and diary, including client meetings and follow-ups.
* Attend team meetings to share best practices.
* Work closely with the Business Development, Marketing, and Operations team to support sales strategies.
* Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge through their CRM system.
Skills And Qualifications
* Proven success in a face-to-face B2B sales role.
* Confidence to approach business owners and the ability to connect with a variety of people.
* Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and able to manage time effectively.
* Willingness to learn new processes and identify areas for improvement.
* Ability to take initiative and explore multiple sales opportunities.
* A proactive attitude to generating new leads.
* Confidence in taking ownership of customer challenges and working collaboratively to create solutions.
* Strong resilience, problem-solving skills, and a positive can-do attitude.
* Excellent time management and accountability.
* Full UK Driving Licence required.
