We are looking for a highly motivated individual that wishes to extend their dermatology experience. The candidate must have experience in undertaking dermatological procedures without supervision. The role requires dermatological consultations and follow-ups to be undertaken for mainly paediatric patients performing surgical procedures. The candidates should have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, have the ability to work within a team and independently, and have good time-keeping skills to ensure the clinics run smoothly and on time.
Main duties of the job
* Follow patients, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based care in line with NICE guidelines, British Association of Dermatologist protocols and business Standard operating procedures.
Provide specialist advice to patients, families and carers and the wider multi-disciplinary team.
* Carry out specialist dermatosurgical procedures, including punch biopsies, shave excisions, full excisions and using cautery as well as cryotherapy.
* Contribute to the service and referring GPs through developing and delivering education and training.
* Contribute to the development of services.
* Work collaboratively and attend meetings with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the cohesive management of patients.
* Seeing surgical and follow-up patients.

The post holder will be responsible for undertaking the following appointments:
* Mild/moderate Acne
* Mild/moderate childhood atopic Eczema
* Angioedema
* Tinea/Fungal/recurrent bacterial infections
* Plaque Psoriasis confined to discreet areas
* Melasma/Chloasma
* 2WW/Skin Cancer
Monday - Sunday Availability
Average clinic times 09:00 - 17:30

Qualifications
* MRCP (Member of Royal College of Physicians) or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years as Consultant in NHS substantive post.
* OR
* GMC Registered with licence to practice.
* Speciality Associate (SAS) working as Locum Consultant in NHS substantive post.
* Minimum of 2 years experience within Dermatology.
* Must be a consultant on the Specialist Register.
