Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in care home settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities, fostering a positive environment for our clients.
Responsibilities
1. Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance.
3. Implement individual care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
4. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff.
5. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
6. Drive to various locations as required for home care assignments.
7. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by following health and safety protocols.
Skills
1. Proficient in creating and following care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
2. Experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous.
3. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
4. Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
5. Ability to speak fluent English is essential for effective communication.
