YMCA Heart of England is a Christian charity providing a range of life-changing services for the local community. Position Overview
We are recruiting Lead Workers to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term contract. You will be based either at Erdington or Northfield depending on the location you have applied for.
Key Responsibilities
1. Effectively access and implement a programme of support within the Adult Social Care framework.
2. Assist in the processing and assessment of applications to be housed at the scheme.
3. Conduct void checks.
4. Support the team to deliver a high-quality rent collection and arrears recovery service.
5. Ensure accurate records are kept on each tenant using our internal support and housing management system.
6. Handle resident issues, such as anti-social behaviour.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need experience in housing management or supported housing and income management or debt recovery/collection (preferably in a social housing environment), and a working knowledge of housing issues and legislation, particularly pertaining to homelessness. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, question and influence when needed.
