BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - SOUTH EAST
Job Description
Due to expansion, our client is seeking a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. Ideally, you would have strong experience in the Timber Industry, and it would also be an advantage to have a good understanding of the Timber Engineering Sector. This position is for an experienced professional individual that has the ability to establish and build relationships at a senior level.
Reporting to: MANAGING DIRECTOR
The company is a trusted supply chain partner in the UK construction industry and is renowned for their high-quality products. The role will involve working closely with the sales team in both sales and sales support, strengthening relationships with existing clients and also sourcing and developing new ones.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop both new and existing clients
2. Manage sales and customer relations
3. Educate customers on product range
4. Accurately process orders and assist with monthly reports
5. Assist with stock management and managing inventories
6. Understand customer needs and requirements, research accounts, and identify key players
7. Maintain and expand your database
8. Seek out active sites and make the necessary contacts to win enquiries and ultimately the business
Knowledge, Skills Required
1. Proven experience in sales and sales administration
2. Ability to prioritise under pressure
3. General Timber knowledge essential and knowledge of the Construction sector
4. Self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision
5. Confident and professional telephone manner
6. Effective communication skills
7. Customer focused with sound commercial skills
8. Good IT skills and PC literate
