Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a Purchasing Administrator to support our growing Procurement department in our fabulous new Head Quarters based in Banbridge. The Role
Reporting to the Head of Procurement you will be an essential part of the team, supporting our business needs and progressing your career.
Job Title: Purchasing Administrator
Location: Head Quarters – Banbridge, Co Down
Hours: 38 hrs per week. 8.00am to 5.00pm Mon to Thurs & 8.00am to 3.00pm Friday
Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Responsible to: Head of Procurement
Key Responsibilities
To provide full administration support to a busy purchasing department
Process and record a large number of documents daily, including uploading purchase orders to project folders.
To be responsible for all paperwork relating to incoming / outgoing deliveries including all necessary customs declarations
To provide information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data / trends
Completing new supplier vendor forms
Maintain procurement systems and ensure compliance with the agreed procedures.
Working as part of a team and on own initiative to ensure that all information is correct and accurate on all systems.
Attending meetings, noting, and recording minutes of key discussions and decisions made.
To maintain high standards of work within the department.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Good Microsoft Office skills – to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to take ownership of their duties and a willingness to grow and learn within their team and the company.
5 GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent, these must include Mathematics and English Language
Minimum 3 years previous experience in a similar administration role
Demonstrate a good ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail. • Good communication & literacy skills.
Desirable Criteria:
An understanding of mechanical and electrical materials within the construction/engineering sector
Previous experience working in a construction, engineering, or manufacturing background.
