Location: Near Evesham, Worcestershire
Salary: £53,600 (OTE)
Hours: 40 hours per week

The Role
The main purpose of the Registered Manager is to be responsible for providing outstanding care for young people. You will oversee the effective day-to-day running of the Residential Home and manage a team of staff and allocation of work. As a manager, you will constantly assess the needs of the home, which may require you to work directly with the children. You will strive to achieve an Outstanding Ofsted rating.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the home in compliance with OFSTED, legislation, and the ethos and policies of the company.
2. Be involved in the Safer Recruitment of Staff.
3. Develop the Staff Team's knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding practice and processes, leading and coordinating safeguarding matters to ensure Children's safety is always paramount.
4. Undertake staff supervisions, appraisals, and probationary reviews, and oversee the day-to-day management of your wider team, managing any performance issues as they arise.
5. Build and maintain professional relationships with external agencies such as Local Authorities, Police, and Health agencies.
6. Become the Designated Safeguarding Lead for Your Home.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare - Or equivalent.
2. Must be willing to undertake the Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) within the relevant date, if not already obtained.
3. Detailed understanding of current legislation, including but not restricted to:
Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Children's Act 1989 / 2014, Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018), Health & Safety At Work Act (1974).
4. 3 years' work experience working with Young People within a residential environment, including 2 years at a management level supervising others in a care role for Children.
5. Previous experience in a Senior/Deputy or Registered Manager role in a Residential Children's Care Setting.
6. Experience of working with young people with emotional and behavioural issues and complex needs, including challenging behaviour.
