Petrofac is seeking an Instrument Engineer 1- Contractor for 12 months based in Aberdeen, UK.
The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.
The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.
Scope of Services:
1. Provide engineering input to estimates for project work scopes
2. Provide input to progress and planning meetings
3. Provide technical expertise to specify modifications to existing equipment or purchasing new equipment including but not limited to:
1. DCS, ESD F&G and Metering system modifications
2. Field Instrumentation including Pressure, Level, Temperature, Flow and Specialist Measurements
3. Valves
4. SIL, High Integrity Systems (HIPPS)
5. Measurement and Metering
6. Industrial Networking and Communications
4. Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process
5. Conduct site surveys on offshore or onshore assets
6. Produce calculations required for the role and participate in design reviews
7. Provide checking and approval of discipline documents; complete interdisciplinary checking of documents where necessary
8. Production of discipline documentation deliverables for inclusion in work packs
9. Provide a level of technical support that satisfies the appropriate Asset Safety Case and that the PFEER performance standards ensuring they are not compromised by any discipline engineering activities
10. Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
11. Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, and procedures as appropriate
12. Approve dispensations to codes or standards where justified
13. Control system philosophy and Software scopes of Work
14. Specifications
15. Vendor Statement of Requirements
16. Preparation & Issue of Survey Reports
17. Instrument and I/O Schedules
18. Orifice Plate / Valve / IS / Cable and General Calculations
19. SIL Assessment
20. MELS and MDRS

2. Cause & Effect Diagrams

10. Installation or storyboard diagrams to facilitate understanding
