Main Duties:
* Collaborate with various departments, particularly manufacturing, to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
* Monitor project spending to ensure it stays within budget, providing recommendations for any variances, while focusing on the specific needs of small manufacturing businesses.
* Support procurement processes and contribute to cost control initiatives that improve overall efficiency and profitability in an SME environment.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and accounting standards relevant to manufacturing SMEs.
* Assist in managing the month-end process, maintaining strong financial controls to minimize risks and promote transparency.
* Help develop and implement policies that strengthen financial governance and support business growth.
Location / Office / Culture
The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office based in Burton-On-Trent. The company operates from a modern office with a strong team of 20+. The business is very flexible in its working patterns and offers great chances for progression due to ongoing growth.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA studier.
* Previous experience in a finance or analyst role, ideally in manufacturing or an SME.
* Ability to use financial analysis and modeling skills in the manufacturing industry.
* Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software; knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Navision is a plus.
* Comfortable working with different teams and explaining financial information clearly to people without a finance background.
* A commercially driven mindset.
* Driving License.
