We are partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical company looking for a Key Account Manager to support their rare disease portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in optimising patient outcomes for those living with a rare liver disease. As a key commercial lead, you will be the primary point of contact for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and associated stakeholders, leveraging your expertise to support the entire patient journey. Your focus will be on delivering a personalised, high-value customer experience, improving patient pathways, and driving product adoption. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute business account strategies based on insights from the field, aligning with the company vision. Build strong relationships with key accounts to optimise patient pathways and streamline access to care. Navigate hospital and integrated care board (ICB) access pathways to support local market access initiatives. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the NHS environment, ensuring alignment between organisational priorities and healthcare system needs. Develop partnerships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted adviser and driving value-based solutions. Utilise scientific and clinical knowledge in specialty care to engage with HCPs effectively. Build and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to drive positive change in patient management and treatment pathways. Leverage business analytics, planning skills, and strategic thinking to prioritise opportunities effectively. Work proactively with cross-functional teams to respond swiftly to market and account developments. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including the ABPI Code of Practice and local NHS guidelines. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Degree in life sciences or a related field (or equivalent experience in the industry). Strong experience in Key Account Management within specialty care or rare diseases. Proven track record in sales and business management within a specialty care setting. Up-to-date NHS knowledge and experience working with local market access and payor systems. Experience navigating formularies and patient pathways to optimise access to treatment. Success in leading multiple stakeholders and driving change within healthcare organisations. Strong ability to develop and implement solutions to overcome challenges within the NHS landscape. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in CRM systems and digital tools to manage customer interactions. Full UK driving licence required.
