Shifts Work: Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday subject to fixed shift roster, 5 shifts of 10 hours including 45minutes unpaid break
HSE Advisor Duties:
In this role, you’re responsible for daily health and safety compliance, overseeing tasks like site inductions, refresher training, tool box talks, hazard identification, risk assessments, safe system of work. Ensuring staff engagement in hygiene programs and coordinating team labour resources efficiently are priorities. Monitoring the hygiene team’s performance, maintaining compliance with policies, and upholding standards are crucial. Effective communication, training delivery, and coordination of initiatives are key. You’ll also advise management, promote safety campaigns, hold scheduled meetings and maintain documentation. Proactively enhancing safety awareness, reporting incidents, and collaborating with operations are essential. Proactive contribution and participation in continuous stream of third party auditing essential. Setting a personal example of safe behaviour and assisting with related matters complete the role.
HSE Advisor Requirements:
1. NEBOSH Certificate
2. Experience in carrying out risk assessments
3. Have 2+ years of experience in a Health and Safety focused role
4. Previous experience of working within the FMCG is desirable
5. Food Hygiene Management Level 4
6. Knowledge of the principles of chilled food manufacturing in high risk, low risk and low care
7. Proactive, self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
8. Keen to deliver exceptional customer service
9. An effective motivator and mentor
10. Good track record of delivering success in a hygiene management role within a FMCG environment
11. Credible, and comfortable in dealing with a wide variety of stakeholders
12. Full UK driving license required
13. Ad hoc travel to other locations within the group will be expected
14. Must be prepared to remain on call and contactable
