Bishopton Out of School Care is a busy before and aftercare service operating 2 out of School Care services within Bishopton. One service within Bishopton Primary School and the other in The Cornerstone Church Bishopton. We are looking to recruit a dedicated responsible and dynamic individual (s) to lead/manage one of our busy out of school care services. There is an opportunity for a Manager (fully qualified or working towards qualification) or Lead Practitioner who is committed and passionate about the overall running of the service ensuring high standards of care is given as well as a high standard of experience is provided to the children in our care. In order to achieve this the candidate must hold a relevant qualification or be willing to undertake the appropriate qualification within the timescales directed by Care Inspectorate. This role would be suited to a previous childcare manager/deputy manager or lead practitioner looking for progression, that is skilled and motivated to be responsible for the day to day management of the service.
The Key role for the successful candidate will be to oversee the overall day to day running of the service. To support our staff team in providing a fun and stimulating environment for children. The role will include managing staff, facilitating staff meetings and at times staff training, organising staff rotas and providing staff supervision, as well as working with staff in coordinating and organising the daily activities for the children. The successful candidate will also be expected to manage resources, including stock rotation, and various auditing tasks will also be essential to the role. The role will also include liaising and working with parents, other organisations and stakeholders as and when required. The candidate must have strong communication skills and an ongoing commitment to CPD training is essential.
Hours of work are normally 7.30-9am and 2.00-6.15pm term time and 8.00-6.00pm during Easter Summer and October holiday periods. Extended hours outwith these time periods are also a requirement for staff meetings/training or any additional auditing tasks.

Rates of pay are variable for this job description and are dependent on training and work experience. This will be explored further during interview.
