In Ealing we are seeking to expand our fostering service to ensure that we can provide the right support at the right time for all our children in care.
Our children and young people come from a range of differing backgrounds and situations, and it is important that we recruit a diverse range of foster carers to meet their needs.
We are particularly looking to recruit carers for:
1. Sibling groups of brothers and sisters of all ages
2. School aged children including teenagers
3. Parent and child
4. Children with Additional Needs and Disabilities
Fostering children who are unable to live within their own families can have a transformative impact on children and young people. In Ealing we are committed to expanding our in-house fostering provision to support children to remain living locally in order that they can maintain connections with their family and community. We need foster carers that can listen and empathise and provide a stable and loving home for the children they foster.
It is an exciting time in the service and there have been a range of recent service developments including our partnership with Foster West London, which is the new regional fostering recruitment hub. Combining eight Local Authorities from across West London to support you as you begin your journey into becoming a foster carer. By working together, our vision is to have more children we care for living in west London with high quality, supported foster carers, delivering improved long-term outcomes for children.
In Ealing we have also recently revised our offer to foster carers, we now offer highly competitive fees and allowances and a suite of additional benefits to ensure that our foster carers feel valued and receive the right support to enable them to successfully support our children and young people.
Our new offer includes:
* Full council tax exemption for eligible carers
* Highly competitive fees and allowances (*recent uplift of 18.5%)
* Free borough wide parking in pay & display and residents bays for eligible carers
