Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking to recruit a fixed term, part time Waiting List Coordinator to join our existing team at Glangwili General Hospital.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the waiting list team. This role involves working with the admissions staff to book and assess patients for their operations, which includes complex procedures.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires excellent communication skills to liaise with patients, relatives, and members of the multi-disciplinary team. Experience in the use of systems such as WPAS and WCP is desirable.
Main Duties of the Job
To work as part of the Waiting List Management team as a waiting list coordinator and provide comprehensive coordination and administrative support service to the Waiting List Manager / RTT Lead and the team. The post holder will be responsible for coordinating designated waiting lists as required while supervised by the waiting list manager.
You will be expected to handle confidential health records both manually and on Myrddin and demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information, i.e., clinical letters, investigations, and results.
The post holder acts as the first point of contact for all forms of communication for their designated waiting list specialties for the Consultant and medical team from GPs, patients and relatives, consultants, and other hospitals.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

5. Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.

* RSA III or equivalent demonstrable experience of typing.
