We are seeking a skilled Assistant Chef to support our Catering Supervisor in the daily operation of the Plaxton Court restaurant kitchen.
The successful candidate will work 2.5 days a week, contributing to the smooth delivery of high-quality meals and exceptional customer service.
About the Role
The Assistant Chef will be responsible for assisting with menu planning, food preparation, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality in all aspects of kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist the Catering Supervisor in managing kitchen staff and resources
2. Contribute to the development and implementation of menus, taking into account dietary requirements and customer preferences
3. Prepare and present high-quality meals, adhering to food safety and presentation standards
Requirements
Applicants should possess excellent culinary skills, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Experience in a similar role or a passion for cooking and customer service would be advantageous.
