The Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult is the UK’s leading Technology, Innovation and Research Centre for offshore renewable energy and we’re now recruiting for an experienced MARKETING MANAGER to help us to deliver our vision of a thriving net zero UK powered by renewable energy.
In this role, you would act as the key coordination point for ORE Catapult’s marketing activities in the Northeast and The Humber, and to support the Head of Marketing and wider team in the delivery of the overall marketing and communications plan across the organisation.
The role is critical in promoting and positioning our activities and test and demonstration facilities to raise the profile of ORE Catapult in the industry.
This role is hybrid and will be based at our Blyth site.
What will I do?
* Work with commercial and business development teams to identify, develop and deliver marketing campaigns for ORE Catapult commercial assets and facilities across the UK, support the operations and maintenance activity and regional research programmes business wide.
* Develop, articulate and evolve ORE Catapult’s value proposition around test and demonstration services.
* Support creation and delivery of consistent marketing materials across the organisation.
* Support ORE Catapult’s community engagement activity.
* Aid the delivery of ad-hoc support the internal communications strategy across the business.
* Aid the delivery of regional communications and public affairs activities.
* Provide communications support for all ORE Catapult activities at our Blyth site.
* Drive local stakeholder engagement and co-ordinate senior stakeholder visits to our Blyth site.
* Events planning and delivery as and when required.
What are we looking for?
* Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Exceptionally strong personal communications skills with stakeholder engagement experience.
* Strong writing and creative skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives around research, innovation, and technological advancements.
* Networking and negotiation skills.
* Experience in managing and delivering cross functional marketing campaigns.
* Experience of managing external creative agencies.
* Prior experience of marketing and communications within an engineering environment is essential; knowledge and understanding of offshore renewables would be advantageous.
