ABOUT THE ROLE
The Family Service Manager role at HMP Winchester offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage vital services for families affected by imprisonment. This position is key to delivering high-quality family support, including parenting programmes, visitors' centres, and play provisions. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, ensuring services meet contractual standards and safeguarding policies. Collaboration with external agencies and local authorities is crucial to ensure the best outcomes for children and families, while also fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. As the designated safeguarding officer, you'll ensure services operate within safeguarding guidelines and health and safety regulations. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the financial sustainability of the services, monitor performance data, and drive improvements. This role offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of families, strengthening bonds and promoting emotional well-being in challenging environments.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced individual who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of families affected by imprisonment. You will have proven experience in managing services within a prison environment, ideally with a strong understanding of working with children, young people, and families. You possess excellent leadership skills and are adept at managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery and safeguarding practices. With a strong track record of collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders, you thrive in building lasting partnerships. You are proactive, solution-focused, and committed to driving service improvements and achieving positive outcomes for families.
