An opportunity has arisen to join our administration team in this newly created post, providing full administrative support to the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team within Acute Children's Services.
To undertake various clerical duties associated with the custody and use of Health Records. This will include all administrative procedures and documentation associated with a patient's journey.
It is expected that staff will undertake administrative duties relating to any aspect of the service.
It is expected that staff will be able to demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organising their workload and in taking decisions and action within clearly defined limits. They will also ensure the requirements of the role are done in a timely manner.
To ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
Main duties of the job
1. To respond in an efficient, polite, and timely manner to all telephone calls received via the CNS team offices.
2. To be responsible for the accurate input, update, and amendment of patient-related information onto the computerised Patient Administration System (PAS), and any other computerised system used by the service.
3. To accurately scan documentation onto CWP (Clinical Web Portal).
4. To action all administrative instructions initiated by the CNS team.
5. To be responsible for the timely processing of all incoming and outgoing mail.

Qualifications
* Good standard of education (GCE level C as minimum in English and Maths).
* NVQ II in Administration or equivalent experience/knowledge.
Experience
* Experience of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
