LABORATORY ANALYST, CHEMISTRY (Ref No: 24_25) Duties will include: Performing laboratory analysis based on documented analytical methods and procedures. Analysis to the appropriate test specification of raw materials, finished goods and any other routine and non-routine analysis as required. Participate in process validation work linked to routine manufacture of pharmaceuticals. Carry out routine internal calibration activities of laboratory equipment and ensure that all such equipment is maintained in good working order. Contribute to the writing of specifications, analytical methods and validation of methods. Contribute and participate in ongoing continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in meeting ongoing metric driven goals and KPIs. Maintain neat and accurate analysis records. Organising and prioritising own workloads to meet deadlines. Support H&S and COSSH tasks as and when required. Participating in periodic Reference Standard and chemical stock checks Undertake analytical training courses, where necessary, to develop key skills deemed critical to business needs. Assist in the training of other associates as required. Applicants must possess: A degree in Chemistry, or a closely related subject, or suitable industry experience. Experience working in an analytical laboratory with a good knowledge of GLP. Able to work to strict deadlines. The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines (this role will necessitate working additional hours and/or shifts as and when required). In addition, the following would be a distinct advantage: Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, analytical method development and validation and the calibration of equipment. Knowledge, use and maintenance of HPLC, AA, UV, FTIR, Potentiometric Titration and GC. Knowledge and experience working to ICH Quality guidelines for Validation.
