Job Description:

This is a permanent, fulltime position of 37 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Sunday.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic band 5 Registered Nurse to join our passionate and dedicated surgical nursing team. This will be based in ward 24, as a 30 bedded ward within the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
As part of the team you will be responsible for assessment, delivery and supervision of all care needs within the ward environment. You will possess sound clinical skills for assessment of patient’s needs, implementation and evaluation of care which are evidence based.
You will have the ability to work in our fast paced environment to a high clinical standard. You are required to be forward thinking, flexible and able to work effectively within a changing and dynamic environment.
We can expand your skills and knowledge across a diverse range of surgical patients. Our team will guide and support you whether you are newly qualified nurse, or if you are just new to our ward/department and facilitate learning and education development.
As part of the multidisciplinary team you will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of a programme of care and the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients within the ward environment. The ability to work on your own initiative, without direct supervision but also as part of the integrated team is required.
You will be required to work within a flexible shift pattern of both day and night rotations and weekend working.
You should possess excellent communication skills and decision making with the evidence of ongoing professional development.
