Are you a compassionate and motivated healthcare professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people? We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist (band 5 level) to join our team at Ivetsey Bank Hospital from July 2025.
Located in Staffordshire, Ivetsey Bank Hospital is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) facility offering specialised, intensive inpatient care and support to young people with severe, enduring, and complex mental health conditions.

Our approach is person-centred, tailored to the unique needs, hopes and challenges of each individual, and we utilise evidence-based practices to inform our treatment and support strategies.

What you'll be working:
Our standard working hours for this role are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. However, we understand the importance of a positive work-life balance, and therefore, if you require some flexibility to better suit your personal or professional needs, we encourage you to discuss this with us, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferences where possible.
What you'll be doing:
* Provide Occupational Therapy services to a caseload of young people with severe or complex mental health conditions.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team colleagues to develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
* Engage with young people and their families to understand their goals and preferences.
* Keep up to date with new treatment methods and be actively involved in research projects relating to specialist area.
* Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on areas such as activities of daily living, sensory integration, and social skills development.
* Evaluate effectiveness of service and carry out audits where required.
* Be responsible for department training and contribute to training and development of all staff.
* Ensure risk management and safety procedures are in place for the OT Department and adhered to.
* Keep people safe from harm and protect their human rights.
What you'll have:
* HCPC registration.
* Experience or placement within a CAMHS or acute mental health setting is desirable.
* Interested in dynamic therapy with patients who are motivated to change.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills.
* Skilled in the facilitation of a range of group interventions.
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
