A fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers who have varying mental health and autistic support needs over the age of 18. They live in self-contained flats within 2 buildings in the Milton Keynes area. In this role, you will get involved in delivering the fun stuff, which helps them to regain their confidence as well as keep busy and occupied!
A typical day as our Activities Support Coordinator
* You’ll run our current activity groups which include things like gardening, music, art, and crafts. We are also keen for you to work with our customers to plan new activities!
* Communicate with the support team to understand customers' needs and preferences each day.
* You’ll support individuals to develop social and practical skills through structured activities.
* Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with customers.
* Maintain a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring materials and spaces are well prepared.
* Adapt activities to suit different sensory, emotional, and communication needs, ensuring inclusivity.

* To make sure our customers are well supported, it’s important that you have worked in a Supported Living environment before.
* Ideally, you will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.
* To make sure that we keep our records straight and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!).
About our team
We are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrate their achievements! We’re not just a team; we’re a ‘work family’. Our manager Mike joined the team in 2021 but has worked for Home Group for 12 years! There are 3 of us in the team, and we don’t just love to support our customers; we’re there for each other too! We’re an experienced group and will be there to support and get you settled in!
Job details
* Your working hours will be Monday through to Thursday, 9 am to 1 pm, excluding Bank Holidays.
* As this role is based over 2 sites, you need to be able to drive, as well as have access to a car insured for business purposes. Don’t worry, we’ll pay your expenses to cover this use!
* When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferable one.
Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.
