Electrical Qualified Supervisor / Electrical Project Manager My client are a Fire & Security Company who are based out of their Office in Essex. Across 4 offices, they employ over 200 staff and are part of a Larger Group of companies which turnover £90,000,000. They are seeking an Electrical Qualified Supervisor/Electrical Project Manager to join their team and work on a specific Housing Association Contract who have an extensive presence in Southeast London but also have sites in North London, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire & Berkshire so although travel to SE London will be regular other travel throughout the South East will be required. Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will be running a team of directly employed 4 electricians ( Sub Contractors). THE JOB – ELECTRICAL QUALIFIED SUPERVISOR / ELECTRICAL PROJECT MANAGER Monday – Friday / 8.30am – 05.00pm You will head up the overall running of an electrical team installing fire related electrical work primarily for a Housing Association. You will be directly responsible for the delivery of fire related electrical work (Emergency Lights, Mains operated Smoke & Heat Detectors) via the effective management of a small team of directly employed Electricians, Electrical Improvers and Sub-Contractors. Responsibilities will be varied as detailed below to ensure the efficient running of the team and to ensure compliance with the mandatory NICEIC requirements. Main Responsibilities: - Managing incoming work so that each job within the remit of the Electrical Project Manager has a projected completion date - Carry out electrical surveys in advance of work being carried out to ascertain the labour and materials required for each job - Monthly revenue forecasting - Preparation and valuation of invoicing applications created from an agreed schedule of rates - Identification and notification of variations - Negotiation of subcontractor works if required - Ensure all paperwork associated with the previous weeks work has been completed and passed over to the administration team - Management of small stores/lock up in SE London to ensure stock is accounted for and booked out to jobs in a timely manner - Implement and maintain company policy on Health & Safety - Responsibility for complying with and implementing the Q&E management system within their area of activity - Any other relevant duties as appropriate to the role as assigned by line manager Key Performance Areas: - Managing workflow - Weekly review of timesheets - Reporting issues to senior management - Evaluating performance and providing feedback - To maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Essential: - Extensive experience of electrical installations - Must be a fully qualified 18th edition electrician - Must have City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing cert - Must have hands on experience of electrical inspection and testing - Experience of the Health & Safety requirements associated with the quoted works - Translating experience and knowledge of electrical systems to assist with the quoting process - Competent IT skills (including Outlook, Excel & Word) - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred: - Fire industry experience with Emergency Lighting and mains operated smoke & heat detectors would be an advantage SALARY & PACKAGE - £50k - Yearly Bonus Scheme - Company Car or £5k Car Allowance - 45p a mile - 25 Days BD off 8 BH - Laptop, Phone
