This is a varied role blending high standards of post mortem care, supporting clinicians and other professionals along with maintaining all requirements to ensure the HTA regulations and CQC are upheld. The post holder is expected to participate in regular cross site attendance at both hospitals, and following initial training and achieving competency, will participate in the out of hours on call rota for the mortuary service.
Flexibility and good communication are essential service requirements. IT skills are needed to ensure record keeping and document control is regularly completed, updated and available for scrutiny providing full traceability at all times.

Main duties of the job
The post will involve participation in the routine duties of the mortuary and Bereavement services at Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone Hospitals. This will include conducting mortuary and bereavement processes efficiently and effectively, in line with approved practices and procedures, and in accordance with health and safety legislation. There is a requirement to participate in regular continued personal development, sharing good practice within the team.

Qualifications
* RSPH Level 3 Diploma Anatomical Pathology Technology
* Level 4 Diploma Anatomical Pathology Technology or Pre 2015 RSPH or RIPHH certificate and diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology
* CPD evidence within the last 12 months
* Professional registration e.g AHCS, Science Council
* Membership with AAPT
* IT training certificate
Experience and Knowledge
* Comprehensive experience working in a post mortem examination active mortuary as a qualified APT
* Experience of Quality Management systems and mortuary record keeping
* Using QPulse or equivalent QMS system, reviewing and updating new documents
