Summary:
Do you have strong financial, numeracy and excel skills? Can you coordinate the production of management accounts in a large company? This role will be responsible for coordinating the production of the management accounts in an extremely busy but rewarding Finance function. Demonstrating an understanding of financial performance in the context of business requirements, you will lead on the production of the internal reporting portfolio whilst supporting the financial control and governance of the business. As the Finance function navigates a period of positive transformation, you will support the financial planning and year-end processes including supporting the financial audit.
Working in the management accounts team and using your extensive experience of best practice in other large organisations, you will provide analysis and insight, acting as a financial adviser to the business and supporting key decision-making. You may also play a key role in our transition to a new Finance ERP, whilst supporting the business as it begins to embark on a sizable increase in capital delivery through the next 5-year regulatory period.
Main responsibilities:
* The co-ordination and production of SEW monthly management accounts.
* The co-ordination and production of the internal reporting portfolio.
* Preparation and review of designated quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Supporting the periodic financial planning processes.
* Preparation and review of designated audit file submissions, ensuring accuracy, relevance and completeness.
* Backfill other tasks as requested to facilitate ERP system transition preparation, supporting any other managers as requested.
You'll need:
* Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or exceptionally part-qualified and qualified by experience.
* Strong financial, numeracy and excel skills including accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to operate complex financial systems.
* Communicating (written and verbal) financial information and concepts, clearly and concisely to a range of financial and non-financial stakeholders.
* Experience of operating in a similar role at a large organisation.
* A commercial mindset.
