Hard Landscape Foreperson - 49678\n\nOur clients have an exciting opportunity to join their multi-award winning company as a Hard Landscape Foreperson. This is a key role within the Construction division of their business, leading hard landscaping projects to bring design-led plans to life.\n\nThe successful candidate will need to be dynamic, organised and highly motivated, with a proven ability to use their own initiative in order to drive projects forward. They need to have a proven record of accomplishment in delivering high-end hard landscaping projects in line with exacting specification.
They will also need to be a collaborative team worker, able to lead a hard landscaping team, whilst liaising effectively with other stakeholders such as landscape architects, garden designers, soft landscaping site leads, sub-contractors and clients.\n\nDuties include but are not limited to the following. Candidates are required to show strong competency in all these areas.\n\n * Reading and actioning site design plans to ensure the hard landscaping elements are delivered as prescribed\n\n * Working with and laying various hard landscape materials - porcelain / natural stone / clay pavers / brickwork\n\n * Setting out of a site with precision - working from plans and in collaboration with other stakeholders as required\n\n * Installation of surface drainage and formwork\n\n * Oversee the installation of complex irrigation systems working in collaboration with specialist firms\n\n * Oversee the installation of water features working in collaboration with specialist firms\n\n * Working with soft landscaping team to deliver the horticultural aspects of the project\n\n * Managing landscaping staff on site\n\n * Reporting to the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director with proven ability to deliver on business objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner\n\n * Liaising and communicating with all external stakeholders whilst sensitively managing those relationships\n\nRequirements for the role include, but are not limited to:\n\n- Full clean UK driving licence\n\n- CSCS card\n\n- Competent in using the appropriate power tools where required\n\n- Excellent awareness of Health & Safety and implementing procedures\n\nSkills and qualities required of the ideal candidate:\n\n- Ability to work positively in a team with a pro-active and can-do attitude\n\n- Proven people manager\n\n- Able to work independently and take ownership for delivering superb quality work every time\n\n- Proactive approach to project planning with evidence of thinking forward on resource needs\n\n- High levels of energy, self-motivation and the ability to motivate others\n\n- Strong attention to detail within the deliverable of quality workmanship\n\n- Impeccable time-management to drive commercial imperatives\n\n- Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines\n\n- Strong work ethic and ability to foster this in team members\n\n- Integrity and discretion\n\n- A desire to develop personally, whilst also supporting the development of other team members\n\nWhat you will receive for fulfilling this role:\n\n- A competitive annual salary depending on experience\n\n- A discretionary annual bonus based on the Company’s overall performance\n\n- Use of a Company van for business\n\n- 28 days holiday inclusive of bank and public holidays\n\n- Branded uniform\n\n- PPE\n\n- Training relevant to the role\n\n- Company pension scheme - contributory from employee and employer\n\n- Employee assistance programme backed by BUPA\n\n- Company events\n\n- Working for one of the UK’s leading award-winning landscaping companies
