Accounts and Finance Assistant Role Overview: The Accounts and Finance Assistant Role is a key role within the company. Being a finance/leasing company, this Accounts and Finance Assistant Role offers more opportunity and variation to candidates than the other employers who are offering similar positions. As such, we are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team. You will be working within the finance team to ensure all accounts related tasks are completed methodically and on time. The key elements of this role include: Daily working within several cloud based Accounts packages for accounting, lease manangement, asset management, and spreadsheets Maintaining contracts on our leasing software including activation and termination of contracts Sales Reconciliations - Daily reconciliation of leasing payments from our customers to our lease accounting software and ensuring nominal code postings are in line with receipts received. Chasing payments for outstanding invoices - arrears calls and letters Raising of Accounts Receivable invoices - Ensure the invoices are raised in a timely manner, ensure payment is received within the agreed timeframes and recorded correctly. Bank Reconciliations - oversewing daily and weekly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accounted for correctly. Month End Reconciliation - Assisting with reconciling Month-end and reconciling of all systems Dealing with customer and supplier queries via both telephone and email Any other Adhoc finance tasks Assisting with Year End projects The perfect candidate will ideally be part-qualified or qualified by experience, will have worked in a similar role and will hold the following skills and experiences: Impeccable attention to detail at all time Preferably experience with a cloud based accounting package such as Xero Strong maths ability and a love for numbers is essential Strong spreadsheet administration skills are essential AAT qualification or working towards (or equivalent experience) desirable. Proven finance / accounts experience in a similar role Excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise workload is a necessity A very high standard of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong numerical ability and data entry skill Able to work under pressure, to deadlines and able to multi-task Have a professional telephone manner and demonstrate excellent written English Be dynamic and professional, with exceptional relationship building skills. Be very proficient with all MS Office applications and be able to learn new IT skills and applications quickly.
