We are seeking an organised, self-motivated and approachable individual, who enjoys working in a challenging and busy environment, to join our friendly team in the Endoscopy as admin and clerical staff .
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the administration function of the service, supporting clinicians to deliver high quality patient care.
We are looking for somebody with good interpersonal skills in oral and written communication, who is able to communicate in a professional manner across a range of services and professionals. Applicants should have a flexible approach to work, be able to work as part of the wider administrative team. You will be required to work independently and need to use your own initiative and should be confident using a computer.
.Liaise with both the Endoscopy surveillance team and the GP surgeries to prepare patients for their Endoscopic procedures.
2. Keep an accurate record of patients TBD dates, making sure they go through to the Endoscopy Booking Team in order of clinical priority.
3. Identifying and highlighting to the Endoscopy Management Team any patients that will not be seen in a time orderly fashion.
4. Update EPR and the Endoscopy Surveillance waiting lists for all Endoscopy Procedures.
5. Data input of accurate patient records for the local Endoscopy Surveillance spreadsheet.
6. Sending out correspondences to GP surgeries and patients updating them with latest clinical recommendations.
7. Open the Endoscopy post, record all paperwork and distribute accordingly.
8. Photocopy as required including liaising with all staff.
9. File paperwork as required, including filing in notes stored in main medical records.
10. Assist the USC in an administrative capacity
11. Adding patients to the Endoscopy waiting list
12. Liaising with clinicals for on the day queries

· To oversee and monitor the planned patients to make sure they are seen within local and national guidelines.
· To escalate to the Management Team of any patients that has not been seen within the agreed clinical timeframe.
· To update and monitor the Endoscopy Planned waiting list. This includes removing and updating TBD dates.
· Review and send correspondences to GP surgeries and patients.
· Liaise with GP surgeries to make sure patients are seen in a time orderly fashion.
· Do monthly audit on the monthly TBS lists
· Support the USC team with processing referrals to patients records.
