Your Title: GIS/Geospatial Support Engineer Job Location: Milton Keynes - UK, Raunheim or Stuttgart - Germany - Hybrid Working Our Department: Field Systems We are seeking a GIS/Geospatial Support Engineer to join our European team working hybridly from one of three of our offices, Milton Keynes, Raunheim or Stuttgart. Success in this position will see you providing timely technical support and increasing customer satisfaction within our GIS/Geospatial product portfolio. We are looking for you to have a background in GIS/Surveying with a knowledge of GNSS systems and geodetic concepts and field survey/GIS data collection best practice. As well as this, you must be an effective communicator as you will work in close collaboration with our channel partners and Internal product & engineering teams For this role we have the flexibility to employ a more experienced specialist as well as relatively recent graduates in relevant geographic or surveying courses. What You Will Do: Provide advanced technical product assistance on problems of diverse scope, and effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex issues Develop technical communications in multiple media formats, including digital documents and videos Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering with testing and/or troubleshooting of product issues and content development Deliver training to customers and resellers virtually and occasionally in-person (requiring up to 5% international travel) What skills & experience you should bring: A passion for problem solving and helping people Strong collaboration, planning, troubleshooting, and analytical skills A degree in a field of study such as Geography or other GIS-related degrees, or significant experience in GIS technologies and systems Experience with GNSS systems & field survey or data collection best practice Effective decision-making and the ability to work independently Very good written and verbal communication skills in the English language Competency in the Esri ArcGIS product suite including field apps (Fieldmaps/ Survey123) Desirable Skills & Experience: Experience within the Utilities/ Energy industry highly desirable Experience and competency with other Trimble (or other) Geospatial equipment and/or software would be a plus (e.g. Mobile Mapping Systems, GeoSLAM technologies, Augmented reality systems, Survey and/or GIS products) About Trimble: Dedicated to the world’s tomorrow, Trimble is a technology company delivering solutions that enable our customers to work in new ways to measure, build, grow and move goods for a better quality of life.
