Summary Energean is seeking to employ a Geoscience Data Manager with experience in maximizing the usage of data and proficient in leading projects for large scale clean-up, migration and restructuring. The role will ensure that changes to information systems are secure, transparent and align with the strategy of the company. They will be responsible for the storing, management, quality control, of data covering all disciplines such as geology, geophysics, wells, production, facilities etc. The successful candidate will ensure that seismic data, well data, spatial data (including ArcGIS), and other relevant technical information are properly stored, organized, and accessible to support exploration and production activities. Responsibilities Data Management:Manage and maintain the company's geophysical and geological databases, ensuring data integrity.Oversee the storage, retrieval, and archiving of seismic data, well logs, and other G&G datasets.Implement and enforce data management policies and procedures.Quality Control:Conduct regular data quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of G&G data.Work with geoscientists and engineers to resolve data discrepancies and issues.Data Distribution:Facilitate the distribution and accessibility of G&G data to internal stakeholders.Develop and maintain data catalogs and metadata for easy data discovery and access.Support data requests from geologists, geophysicists, and other technical staff.Spatial Data Management:Manage spatial data using ArcGIS and other GIS tools.Create and maintain geospatial databases, maps, and related documentation.Perform spatial analysis to support exploration and production activities.Collaboration and Support:Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the proper functioning of data management systems.Provide training and support to geoscientists and engineers on data management practices and tools.Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and technical documents using G&G data.Data Integration:Integrate various types of G&G data to support multidisciplinary projects.Work with external data vendors and partners to acquire and incorporate new datasets. Required Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities) Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Geoinformatics, or a related field.Proficiency in managing seismic data, well logs, and other geological data.Strong knowledge of spatial data management and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).Familiarity with data management systems and tools (e.g., dB software, Petrel, Petrel Studio).Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.Certification in data management (e.g., DAMA, PMP) is a plus.Excellent organizational and project management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Understanding of cloud-based data storage solutions Please apply online by hitting the 'Apply' button.Applications will ONLY be accepted via the ‘Apply’ button.This role is being handled by the Energean recruitment team and no agency contact is required.
