Allstaff Manufacturing Division seeks a Workshop Coordinator to join our global client based at the Inchinnan Industrial Estate. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating workshop orders and projects, working closely with both the internal workshop team and external customers.
Your daily tasks will involve various aspects of workshop coordination whilst having the support of workshop team leaders and the workshop manager when needed.
To be a strong match for this position, ideally, you possess a sound understanding of mechanical installations, technical drawings, and assembly activities. Success in this role will also require the ability to manage multiple orders and projects simultaneously.
As a Workshop Coordinator, your main responsibilities will include:
* Assisting the sales department with workshop-related quotations, especially for non-standard projects, including pricing, cost estimation, and planning.
* Coordinating the entire order process from the receipt of the Purchase Order or Project Handover to completion.
* Planning workshop orders and monitoring progress.
* Active participation in planning meetings with the workshop team.
* Managing communication with both external and internal customers.
* Handling order administration and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place for invoicing.
* Managing purchases from subcontractors, both direct and indirect.
* Coordinating deliveries and handling shipping documents, particularly for specialist transports of propulsion-specific items, such as escorted transports.
* Overseeing maintenance, calibration, and facility-related tasks.
* Maintaining supplier relationships and ensuring compliance.
* Monitoring sustainability and environmental waste management.
* Providing support to the Operations Team as required.
* Participating in the rotational On Call Team for Propulsion out-of-hours calls.
