Computing Department:
The Computing Department is dedicated to delivering an engaging and comprehensive curriculum that equips students with essential digital skills. The department is led by the Curriculum Team Leader (CTL) for Business and Computing, who also serves as the Head of Sixth Form. The team includes educators who integrate computing with other disciplines, reflecting the department's collaborative approach to teaching.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computing Teacher to join our dynamic department. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching computing across various key stages, inspiring students to develop a deep understanding of digital technologies. You will contribute to curriculum development, participate in extracurricular activities, and support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning within the department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality computing lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computing curriculum and integrate technology across other subjects.
* Engage in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of emerging technologies and educational practices.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Experience teaching computing at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for computing and digital literacy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
