Primary Responsibility
To ensure stock levels are optimal to satisfy customer’s demands, whilst achieving the lowest cost.
To drive a successful repeatable forecast, planning and execution cycle for the product and services under an allocated category.
List areas of daily and long-term responsibilities
Daily
• Forecast, plan and execute the supply chain cycle to achieve optimal stock availability for the lowest total cost of ownership for the category
• Manage and resolve supply chain issues (Failed deliveries, order management and damaged shipments)
• Manage issues around vendor payments
Short Term
• Build strong relationship with current and new vendors
• Review new product requests and gather feedback on needs of new products
• Work with Operations Group to resolve supply chain issues
• Feedback issues to category development team
Long Term
• Work with Sales Group and Product Group to understand future demand of customers
• Work with Product Group to improve forecast planning and execution of the supply chain cycle
Other
• Provide feedback to enhance product performance and service delivery
• Seek to improve relations with regard to the provision of efficient communications to facilitate product development and issue management
• To ensure that the company internal/external customer care & equal opportunity policies are adhered to at all times.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for Health & Safety
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business requirements
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the department and JJ Food Service goals.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Education
Minimum Bachelor degree in a business related subject is mandatory
Physical Requirements
Lifting: The job will involve manual handling (lifting or moving products or equipment). You will be provided with training to undertake manual handling safely, using the equipment provided where necessary.
Physical requirements: pushing, pulling the trolley to carry items occasionally.
Equipment: you will be trained to use appropriate equipment depending on the load you are required to lift.
