Do you have a caring and supportive nature? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in a special educational needs (SEN) school in Winchester.. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with a variety of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work alongside teachers and other support staff to provide the best learning environment for all students. About the Role: Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEN across the school. Assist with classroom activities and help implement individual learning plans (IEPs). Support students with personal care when required, ensuring their dignity and safety. Encourage and promote positive behaviour management strategies. Assist in developing students' social and communication skills. Support students with practical tasks, helping them engage with the curriculum. About You: Experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or other care environment (desirable but not essential). A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children with additional needs. Strong communication skills to work with students, teachers, and parents. A team player who is enthusiastic about supporting students to reach their full potential. A willingness to undergo further training to support students with specific needs.
