We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Children in Care Social Worker to join our dedicated team. This role focuses on providing high-quality support and care management for children and young people in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing a caseload of children in care, ensuring each child receives individualized and effective support
2. Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing care plans
3. Monitoring and reviewing care plans to ensure they meet the needs of the child
4. Working closely with foster carers, residential staff, and other professionals to support the child's placement
5. Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and safeguarding procedures
6. Preparing reports for court and attending court proceedings when necessary
7. Maintaining accurate records and documentation
Requirements:
8. Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work
9. Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
10. Experience working with children in care or in a similar role
11. Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills
12. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
13. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners
14. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
