You will work closely with all departments in the UK and other group companies to ensure we are providing a level of service expected from a market leader. Although the majority of your time will be spent working in the UK you may be expected to spend some periods working with colleagues in Germany and in other DWT group countries. The HR Manager will oversee the HR function through the UK and Ireland. The main purpose of this role is to manage the group support functions of HR, Learning & Development and recruitment. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for developing and delivering an employee-driven HR strategy that meets the demands of the business. To ensure Health & Safety is always the number one priority To align the company’s values in the HR strategy Manage and direct the Human Resource Team to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the business. Develop and implement the HR and People strategies aligned to the business objectives. Support and coach the management team on all people leadership matters, including business change and transformation. Be responsible for all HR management and development (including recruitment and selection policy/practices, discipline, grievance, capability, mentoring, salary and conditions, contracts, training and development, talent management, succession planning, driving performance appraisals and any other HR related issues) Regularly review the companies management processes Lead on providing advice and lead on change management initiatives, organisational/departmental restructures / job descriptions / outsourcing / TUPE transfers / redundancy situations etc. in order to meet legislative requirements and Company policy objectives. Work on projects to aid continuous improvement and implement improvement programmes Lead on occupational health referrals, absence management issues and return to work cases to managers, providing advice and guidance. Highlight and help resolve any issues/challenges/employee relations within the company, ensuring employee relation cases are managed to meet best practice requirements. Gather and evaluate market data to measure the organisation’s competitiveness for salary reviews, compensation and benefits packages. Lead on payroll activities, coaching and developing team to ensure accuracy and timely management Lead on pension and health insurance activities including benefit and rewards renewal. Design and lead HR Projects Educated to Degree (or equivalent) level would be desirable CIPD Level 5 or equivalent At least 5 years experience Experienced HR professional Strong influencing and people management skills Skilled in developing HR policies and procedures, managing budgets, and delivering HR projects that support organisational change. Strong understanding of employment law. Strong strategic, analytical and commercial focus Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment You will also need to provide the correct Right to Work documentation and relevant qualifications.
