Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in Bedfordshire. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have access to a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual learning and emotional needs are met.
* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons and activities.
* Support students with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, and learning difficulties.
* Promote positive behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
* Encourage social interaction and help develop students' communication and life skills.
* Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals to monitor progress and adjust support where necessary.
* Assist with personal care where applicable, including toileting and mobility support.
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
