WE Talent are hiring for an Accounts Assistant for our client in Billericay. As Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in managing our clients purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll processes to ensure smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Process purchase invoices with accuracy and timeliness
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
* Conduct bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
* Assist with payroll processing, pensions, and statutory payments
* Maintain up-to-date purchase ledger records
* Support month-end processes (accruals, prepayments, VAT returns)
* Liaise with suppliers and clients to resolve queries
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices
What We’re Looking For
* AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
* Strong knowledge of purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and payroll
* Proficiency in Sage 50, Xero, AutoEntry, or Bright Pay
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
* Competency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
