Are you ready for a challenge?
Do you have the appetite to work as part of a established team that is ready to move forward on its transformational journey? Do you have the skills required to meet the role of a senior nurse and want to be a part of our future?
Maryport District Nurses are a unique and diverse team that put people at the heart of everything we do. The ICC empowers and engages its workforce to improve care and wellbeing within our local community. The ICC is a well-established team with long-standing working relationships with many different partners and stakeholders. Effective collaboration with Primary Care, Social Care and multiple charities and third sector providers enables us to deliver a wide range of services to the local community. As a team, we have good team spirit and resilience.
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Community Staff Nurse to work as part of our dedicated Community Nursing team and the wider ICC. The role involves the delivery of holistic, patient-centred care in the community as well as complex caseload management. The successful applicant will be expected to liaise and work with the primary health care team and other Health and Social Care professionals in care provision.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a changing environment and have good communication skills. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own, and also as part of a team. You will be supported by the District Nursing Team Leads and Band 6 Senior Community Nurses to deliver nursing care covering weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and evenings.
* Please ensure that you document evidence of meeting all the essential criteria in the supporting information.
* If sufficient response is received, this post could be closed earlier than the specified closing date; please apply as soon as possible to ensure that your application is considered.
This role requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge to support the provision of high-quality care, to support patients with complex needs within the community setting, and to support the Team Lead to provide clinical leadership and operational management of the community nurse team along with management of the clinical caseload for the team. Community experience is therefore desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated and committed registered nurses who are looking to develop their clinical skills and expertise in caring for patients, working closely with health and social care colleagues to prevent hospital admission, facilitate hospital discharge, and promote independence.
